If you have ever considered cosmetic dentistry, you probably have questions about how you will look and what will change when it comes to your smile. In addition to your appearance, we want to make sure that any changes to your smile feel great and function properly, as well. After all, comfort and function is essential to eating and speaking properly.
Diagnostic Wax-Ups
Before we make any changes to your teeth, we will take impressions and make models of your teeth. These models give us a working duplicate of your teeth, bite, and gums so that we can design your restorations accurately.
We create the changes to your smile in wax on your diagnostic casts so that we can determine how your teeth come together, the size, and the shape of your restorations. By doing this, we can precisely determine what will work best for you when you chew and speak. If a tooth is too long or short, it can throw the balance of your bite out of alignment and cause pain or sensitivity.
Smile Designs
Before we create your restorations for your cosmetic dentistry, we will discuss the esthetics of your new smile with you. What shade would you like? What flaws need to be addressed? We will look at the shape of your face, your skin tone, and your gender to come up with a natural look that complements your features.
Teeth that are too white, too bulky, or too perfect-looking can draw attention away from your face. We want to create improved smiles that look natural – as if you were born with them, only better.
Seeing is believing. At Scott Jordan DDS, we create your smile in a way that gives you an understanding how your teeth will look when we have completed your cosmetic work. That way, you can enter into treatment with confidence.
