Meet Dr. Kay

Ryan Kay,
DMD, MS, FICOI

Growing up around dentistry, Dr. Kay knew at an early age that he wanted to be a dentist. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with minors in Chemistry and Biology at the University of San Diego.

After graduation, he went on to earn a Master’s in Medical Science and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences.

Advanced Expertise

After numerous hours of advanced training and experience with dental implants, Dr. Kay joined a select group as he was awarded a Fellowship by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also a graduate of the intensive post-graduate program for highly advanced comprehensive and esthetic dentistry at the Kois Center. Dr. Kay is also certified in Oral Conscious Sedation and Invisalign®.

Professional Leadership

As a respected clinician, he is a product reviewer for the Clinician’s Report, a publication read by thousands of dentists throughout the U.S. every month. Dr. Kay is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, as well as Spear and San Diego CAD/CAM Dentists Study Clubs where he continues to learn and fuel his passion for dentistry and technology. 

Outside the Office

He loves spending time with his wife Katie, daughters Maren and Lennon, and their dog Indie. You may also find him at the beach, snowboarding in the mountains, or enjoying golf, tennis, and baseball. He’s passionate about technology inside and outside of dentistry.
